SteadyLatch Terms

Version of 30 September 2026. This copy is never changed; the version in force today is on the current terms page.

1. About these terms

These terms cover this website and the sale of early access to the SteadyLatch Automation Reliability Kit (the "kit"). The provider is Andrew Rodrigo Fernandez, operating as SteadyLatch; contact details are in the legal notice. When you buy the kit through Polar, these are the supplier terms for the kit that Polar's checkout terms refer to.

2. Current status

Early access is open. Version 0.1.0 of the kit was released on 29 September 2026 and is delivered as a download at purchase.

3. Early access offer

Pro license, €119, VAT included. This is the total price: any VAT or sales tax due is included in it. At purchase you download v0.1.0: the release ZIP file, its SHA256SUMS checksum file and a plain-text copy of these terms. v1 follows as a free update by 22 November 2026, available from the same download.

Available at purchase (v0.1.0): regression runner with golden files, numeric tolerances and Markdown/JSON reports · data contracts for CSV, JSON and .xlsx values · API client with timeouts, bounded retries and structured logs · local Excel runner (Windows, Excel desktop, attended) · VBA export to text with environment manifest · synthetic demo workbook with four scenarios (the fourth is partial until v1) · getting-started guide and a page of known limits.

Coming in v1 (by 22 November 2026, free update): VBA import and release packaging · tested recovery procedure · VBA error-handling and batch modules · GitHub workflow template · Claude Code operating guide · troubleshooting guide.

Not included: running VBA in hosted CI · Excel for Mac or Excel for the web · adapting the kit to your workbook.

The early-access offer ends when v1 ships; these terms keep applying to purchases made during early access. Other license types (Solo and Consultant) open with v1.

4. License

The Pro license lets one developer use and modify the kit for their own professional or internal work, including running it on work they do for clients. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense or share the kit or its files, modified or not, in whole or in part, and you may not include them in deliverables for third parties. The kit remains the property of its author; you receive a license to use it, not ownership. Updates within version 1.x are included.

5. Payment

Checkout is handled by Polar, which acts as merchant of record: Polar is the seller of your purchase, collects payment and any VAT or sales tax due, and issues your invoice and receipt by email. Polar's Checkout Buyer Terms govern the purchase through Polar. SteadyLatch grants the license and gives the product, update, refund and support commitments in these terms.

6. Refunds

You can get a full refund on request until 14 days after v1 is delivered. v1 counts as delivered when it is available from the download of every early-access purchase and buyers have been told by email. If v1 is not delivered by the end of 22 November 2026 (Sofia time), SteadyLatch refunds every early-access purchase in full through Polar, without a request, within 14 days after that date.

To ask for a refund, email the address in the legal notice with your order reference. Refunds are issued through Polar. After a full refund, the license for that purchase ends and access to the download is removed; this does not affect your statutory rights.

Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the day you buy, without giving a reason, even if you have already downloaded the kit. To withdraw, send a clear statement to the email address in the legal notice with your order reference. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. You then receive a full refund through Polar within 14 days of your statement.

Model withdrawal form: "To SteadyLatch (email address in the legal notice): I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the SteadyLatch Automation Reliability Kit. Ordered on: [date]. Order reference: [reference]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date]."

The refund policy above applies in addition to, and regardless of, this right and any other statutory rights you have.

7. Support

Support is by email and covers installation questions and reproducible defects in the kit. Adapting the kit to a specific workbook, data source or environment is a separate service.

8. Requirements and responsible use

The kit needs PowerShell 7.4 or later; running macros and exporting VBA also need Windows with Excel desktop. Supported configuration for v0.1.0: Windows 11 with Microsoft 365 Excel (64-bit) and PowerShell 7; the checks that do not need Excel were also tested on Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows in GitHub Actions. The tested versions of each release are listed in its limits page (docs/limits.md in the download). These technical limits do not restrict your statutory rights to digital content that conforms to these terms. Run the kit on copies of your workbooks, and only with data and systems you are authorized to use.

9. Warranty and liability

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content, are not affected by these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Custom automation service

The custom Excel report automation service is ordered and delivered through Fiverr, under Fiverr's terms and the scope agreed in each order.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria and by applicable European Union law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

12. Changes

These terms may be updated. The version in force when you buy applies to that purchase. Every version under which the kit has been sold is kept on this website at its own dated address, and a plain-text copy of the version in force is included with your download. The checkout records which version you accepted.
